Hi, I’m Kelly (she/her)
Clinical Psychologist, AuDHDer, and founder of Minds of Colour
I offer neuroaffirming and gender-affirming psychology via telehealth across Australia.
I support:
neurodivergent people
trans and gender diverse people
adults navigating identity, burnout, and system-related stress
Experience
Since 2017, I have worked with children, families, neurodivergent people, and trans and gender diverse people, including within specialist services.
Alongside my own lived experience of neurodivergence, this has shaped a practice that prioritises:
safety
clarity
respect
adaptability
Language & context
I practise with awareness of how systems, language, and assumptions shape experiences of distress and difference.
This includes the impact of:
minority stress
ableism
racism
cisnormativity and heteronormativity
environments not designed for neurodivergent and marginalised communities
This work is not about “fixing” you, but understanding your experiences within context.
My approach
My work is grounded in:
neuroaffirming and gender-affirming frameworks
trauma-informed and system-aware practice
collaboration, transparency, and respect for autonomy
Together, we develop a shared understanding of your experiences—at a pace that feels manageable and aligned with your needs.
How sessions are adapted
Sessions are flexible and responsive to different communication styles and processing needs.
This may include:
pacing
written or chat-based communication
flexibility in how experiences are explored
A little outside of work
Outside of work, I’m a parent (of humans and animals) and value creativity, sustainability, and expression.
Occasionally, animals may make brief telehealth appearances (if we are lucky).
